Eva & Vic

27 April, 2025

When I first started working on Field of Air and the Intercoastal collection, I knew nothing captured Florida quite like the club scene. As an ex-dancer and SWer, I was certain I wanted to interview dancers about the realities of working in clubs, before I even stopped.

Honestly, no one talks enough about how stripping is glamorized, especially on striptok, civilian women, and most worryingly, girls under 18. But conversations with real strippers, escorts, cam girls, and other workers might help us get closer to a more grounded understanding of the industry not as a fantasy job to “get rich quick,” but as survival work.

When I danced, I had many terrible, yet beautiful moments. Moments that truly broke me open, forced me to see myself in new ways, and helped shape who I am now. This chapter was transformative, messy, and meaningful in ways I’m still unpacking. Which is part of why this work means so much to me.

I met Eva and Vic while looking for dancers through Esper (shoutout). I was nervous since I didn’t know them well, but our time together made me so happy and fulfilled. Thank you, Esper, for connecting us and helping bring this vision to life. And thank you, Eva and Vic, for sharing your vulnerability and the true beauty of your relationship.
